All Bright Star Fireworks offered for sale are tested to comply with BSEN15947 (CE compliant).
Value added tax
All trade prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. All recommended retail prices include VAT at 20%. Should the VAT rate change, retail prices will be amended accordingly.
Licenced storage
Before the delivery of fireworks can take place you are required under the Explosive Regulations 2014 to licence your premises. Licencing fees can be obtained from your local issuing authority. Bright Star Fireworks must see a copy of a valid licence & can only deliver to the address on that licence.
Weight limitations
Under the Explosives Regulations, it is the method & location of your storage areas that will govern the amount you can store. Storage of 250kg Net Explosive Content (NEC) of Hazard Type 4 is the most common amount that retailers store but this can be increased & also include Hazard Type 3 products. Your local authority (licencing) department will be able to advise you. You should not automatically assume that your shop will be suitable to store the maximum amount.
Firework regulations
Without a special “all-year licence” retailers can only sell category F2 or F3 fireworks at the following times:
15th October - 10th November (Bonfire period).
26th - 31st December (New Year period).
The day of Diwali & three days prior.
The first day of the Chinese New Year & three days prior.
A poster, which should be provided by your supplier, relating to the illegality of under 18’s possessing fireworks, must be displayed in full view of the buying public.
It is illegal to supply a firework which has a decibel level over 120 dB AI Imax.
All Bright Star Fireworks comply with this regulation.
In the unlikely event of a retailer selling a quantity of fireworks in excess of 50kg NEC to any one purchaser, a record must be kept of the name & address of the purchaser, plus the weight of the consignment.
YOU DO NOT REQUIRE AN ALL-YEAR SALES LICENCE TO SELL CATEGORY F1, T1, OR P1 ITEMS. FOR EXAMPLE PARTY POPPERS, ICE FOUNTAINS, SPARKLERS & SMOKE FLARES.
